Today, we have something different. A first (but not last!) Guest Review. Why? Because they offered. And I thought it would be a nice change of pace. Since it is a guest review, I have not forced it into the usual subheadings, although you can work that out for yourself. I have taken the liberty of squashing it into the tags for tagging the blog. Otherwise, I have left their review stand.
A challenging beginning and a happy ending

The first test of any new thing that arrives in our house is conducted by Noozle. He mainly reserves his enthusiasm for boxes, but can sometimes be persuaded in the value of a nice bottle to rub against.
But this one? He snubs it! Wanders past as if it isn’t there at all. So the verdict from Noozle is: Not so much. Not a fan.
Then it’s our turn, and we’re arguably more important when it comes to wine evaluations. We’re sensitive souls, so the first test for us is accessibility. We like our wines to be accessible. But we do appreciate a challenge. This bottle has a lid (!) which is challenging to remove, and then a cork, which is surprisingly easy! The best of both worlds. It is a good bottle, we decide. Full marks on packaging.
But is it a good wine?
On the first pour we observe lots of bubbles. Fast bubbles. All one type of bubble (small). That’s nice.
Then the tasting part! Now we’re very aware that this is a blog about senses other than smell, so like the conscientious women we are, we don’t make any notes on the nose. We just go straight into drinking it.
The first verdict is “Ooh!” – said with a smile and eyes that twinkle in anticipation of the next sip. This is not an apple-y wine. More a lemon-y, lime-y, melon-y affair. And creamy, which is lovely.
Dani is well versed in her appreciation of sparkling wines, and she’s been enjoying this for the last couple of days, making it last. She noticed it loses its fizz quite quickly once poured into a glass. But the flavor and initial fizz lasts well. Would recommend.
